Swimming

Daniel recently completed his first real swimming class, First Fins 1, at the Warren Community Center. Miss Kellie taught him and his 4 little friends how blow bubbles with their mouths and noses, kick their legs, scoop their hands, and float on their bellies and backs while being supported by the teacher. Daniel did a great job and Miss Kellie said he was ready to move on to the First Fins 2 class.

Daniel is very comfortable in the water. He doesn't care about getting water in his face or eyes and can swim all over Mimi and Poppa's pool while wearing his floaty. He has started jumping in the pool with Randy and going under water. He's getting good at holding his breath.

We will be continuing the swim classes at the community center, either later this summer or early in the fall. Maybe next summer he'll be swimming all over the pool without his floaty!
