Bike Riding

Daniel finally began riding the balance bike that we bought for him a year and a half ago. Once he decided he could, he was riding like an expert. He has been pushing off and balancing with his feet up for long stretches since he started. We might be able to put the pedals on before the end of the summer!

Last week his KinderCare hosted a Bike Rodeo in their parking lot. All the kids were invited to bring their bikes to ride and KinderCare provided hot dogs, lemonade, and snacks. Daniel had a great time and was being a little dare-devil, jumping curbs and riding fast.

They even organized races by age level. Daniel was in the young kids race, which, as you can see from the video below, started off great. I think they lost focus or got confused at the end and no one actually make it to the finish line. I guess it wasn't about winning or losing, it was about having fun - and that they did!
