August Summer Fun

Wow we've been busy this month! And work has been very busy for me, so I haven't had much time to update the blog. Here's a quick rundown of what we've been up to:

Saturday, August 14: Visited the Ford family at their new homr near Kalamazoo. They had a big party with a bounce house for the kids. Daniel loved playing with all the new friends and he finally decided that it was fun to jump in a bounce house.

Wednesday, August 18: Daniel and I spent the day at the Detroit Zoo. We rode the train, had a picnic lunch, and enjoyed seeing all the animals.

Saturday, August 21: 60th Anniversary party for Grandma and Grandpa Daniels and Randy and my 6th wedding anniversary. We attended the luau-themed party at Aunt Roxanne's house, then Daniel spent the night with Mimi so Randy and I could go out to an adults-only dinner to celebrate our anniversary.

Friday to Sunday, August 27-28: Went camping at Sleeper State Park in Caseville, MI with the Froberger and Mertens families. The weather was perfect. We went swimming in Lake Huron and enjoyed relaxing at the campsite with all our friends.

It's a little sad realizing that we are near the end of the summer. We've had so much fun being outside and enjoying the great weather. But we are also looking forward to the upcoming fall and all the cooler-weather activities that await. September, here we come!
