Happy Father's Day!

Another fun summer weekend behind us. On Saturday, we stopped by Mimi and Papa Paul's house to say hi and drop off Papa Paul's Father's Day present. We didn't have time for swimming, though we wish we had, given the 90 degree weather. After that brief stop, we were off to Papa Daniel's house for a summer BBQ. Daniel had fun playing with Papa's cars, playing ball and frisbee, and running down to the neighbor's house to play on the slide and in the sandbox. We had lots of good food and enjoyed seeing all the family and friends that were there. Daniel fell asleep quickly on the way home, exhausted from all the outdoor fun.

On Sunday morning, Daniel gave Randy his Father's Day presents - some fancy new earbuds for his iPod, Weber's Way to Grill cookbook, and a travel mug Daniel decorated just for him. Then, after Randy had to replace a leaking bathroom faucet, Mimi Jojo and Papa Tim came over to spend the afternoon with us. The weather was beautiful, so we were able to spend the whole afternoon outside on the deck and chasing Daniel around the yard. Randy grilled some t-bone steaks, salmon and baked potatoes and I roasted some veggies in the oven. Dinner was delicious! Despite the small plumbing issue, I think Randy had a really nice Father's Day.
