Trip to Lakeside

Daniel and I spend a long weekend with my girlfriends from college at a vacation house in Ohio.  There is a nice gated community right on Lake Erie called Lakeside.  It was a cute little neighborhood with some little stores and restaurants, a park and walking path right on the lake, a few playgrounds, a pier, a little beach and a kiddie pool.  Daniel loved being outside so much and I'm pretty sure the first word out of his mouth when he woke up every morning was "outside."  We were lucky and had great weather all weekend, too.

In the mornings we would usually take a nice walk down to the water's edge and back up through the stores and restaurants.  Daniel would start out walking, then pushing the "ride", then riding in the "ride."  It rained in the very early mornings, so Daniel has lots of fun running through the puddles.  I gave up trying to keep him out of them and he was soaked by the time we made it back to the house.  After lunch and nap we'd head back out to play in the kiddie pool or at the playground.  Daniel loved the swings.  He also enjoyed the giant sandbox and the playscape.  After playing, we'd grab a snack or take another walk, then head back to the house for a nice relaxing dinner.

We had a great time and hope we can do it again sometime.
