18 Month Doctor's Visit

Today Daniel had his 18 month doctor's visit. He is 24 lbs. 12 oz. and 33 1/4" tall. He is in the 25-50% for weight and 75% for height - tall and thin. He's doing great developmentally. Dr. Hugen suggested getting a potty and keeping it in the bathroom for him to get used to. I can't believe I even have to think about that yet! She also suggested having a "safe" word - something other than "no" - that will stop him in his tracks for times when he's heading toward the street or running away from me in a store. She says they hear "no" so often at this age that it starts to become ineffective. I think that's a great idea and plan on following that suggestion. No shots today and the doctor says he's done for immunizations - except yearly flu shots - until he's 4. Yay! Next doctor's appointment is at 2 years old.
